Aubameyang Nearing Move to Saudi League

Marseille Agrees, and Qadisiyah Moves Quickly

Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, currently with French club Marseille, is on the verge of moving to the Saudi Pro League. The deal is expected to be finalized in the next few hours. Saudi sports newspaper "Al-Riyadiah" reported on Monday that Qadisiyah has received final approval from both Aubameyang and Marseille to complete the transfer, with an official signing expected soon.

Earlier today, "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that

Qadisiyah

, which recently returned to the Saudi Pro League, had reached a preliminary agreement with Marseille for the Gabonese forward's transfer. The newspaper stated that Qadisiyah has already agreed with Aubameyang on a two-year contract, though details of the player's annual salary have yet to be disclosed.

Qadisiyah is working swiftly to finalize the deal, and Aubameyang is expected to join the Saudi team's training camp next week. The 35-year-old striker has previously played for major clubs such as AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea. He joined Marseille last summer on a free transfer after his contract with the Blues ended.

Despite his age, Aubameyang delivered an impressive performance with Marseille, appearing in 51 matches across various competitions, scoring 30 goals, and providing 11 assists. Qadisiyah has been one of the most active Saudi clubs this summer, securing several notable signings, including Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez, who helped Spain win the UEFA European Championship "Euro 2024" on Sunday.

With this potential transfer, Qadisiyah bolsters its attacking prowess and reflects its high ambitions for competing in the Saudi Pro League. The addition of such an experienced international player raises the hopes of the club's fans for future achievements.
