The Departure of the German Football Legend Accompanied by Real Madrid’s Ascendancy and Preparation for the Champions League Final

Before the anticipated match between Real Madrid and Real Betis, the players of both teams held a guard of honor to honor the German star Toni Kroos at the Bernabeu Stadium this Saturday evening, at the end of the La Liga matches. This guard of honor was an opportunity to bid farewell to Kroos, who announced his retirement from football at the end of the current season after participating in the 2024 European Nations Cup.

The Santiago Bernabeu Stadium witnessed a large influx of fans, who chanted and clapped warmly for the German star, expressing their solidarity with him by raising a banner that read “Thank you, Legend”.

Real Madrid drew with its guest Real Betis without goals, within the framework of the thirty-eighth round of the Spanish League “La Liga”, on the pitch of the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, the stronghold of the royal team.

With this draw, Real Madrid, the title holder, raised its points to 95 points, while Real Betis reached 57 points, occupying the seventh place in the standings.

Before the end of the match, Real Madrid star, Toni Kroos, left the field amid warm applause from the fans and his fellow players, in his last match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, where he decided to retire after participating in the Euro 2024 with the German national team, and with the remaining final match of the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley in London next month.
