The Dilemma of Dani Olmo Between Barcelona’s Goals and His Fate in Leipzig

Predictions about Olmo’s future and the impact of the release clause and the competition of the major English clubs, and the escalation of transfer priorities in Barcelona towards a new left winger and strengthening the midfield

Spanish press reports confirmed on Wednesday that the management of Barcelona is anticipating a strong blow that threatens one of the potential deals of Blaugrana during the upcoming summer transfer period.

According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Dani Olmo, the star of Leipzig team, is one of the goals of Barcelona in the upcoming summer in the transfer market, which the administration sees as giving the team a qualitative leap at the level of the attack line.

The newspaper explained that Olmo wants to return to Barcelona, but his will is not enough, as the release clause in his contract with the German club is 60 million euros.

It pointed out that Olmo is of interest to the top six in the English Premier League (Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham), and therefore the value of his release clause will be within the reach of these teams.

The newspaper clarified that Olmo’s decision to stay in Leipzig and commit to his contract is not ruled out, as the German club is working to meet his demands.

The reports indicated that contracting with a new left winger is the second priority in the transfer market for Barcelona after signing a new player in the midfield.
