Zamalek in a Dilemma Analysis of Hussein Labib’s Statements and Their Impact on the Club’s Future

After revealing the possibility of more sanctions, including depriving the club from making new contracts and suspending the player registration process, as a result of the ongoing dispute about the case of the team’s former Moroccan striker, Khalid Boutaib.
Labib explained during his intervention on DMC channel that the club is facing a financial case related to 2.4 million euros in the context of the dispute with Boutaib, which puts Zamalek in a difficult legal position and adds to the series of cases that the club has been exposed to during the period from 2015 to 2019.
The president of Zamalek continued by saying that he does not rule out the possibility of freezing the club’s registration again, pointing to the lack of clarity on how the contract was made with Boutaib under conditions that include paying the full value of the contract in case he leaves the team, which prompted the club to be cautious and contract with several players to avoid facing that obstacle in the future.
Labib pointed out that the club faced a major financial challenge, as it paid amounts up to 3 million dollars to settle cases related to the club, confirming the success of his administration in overcoming these crises and strengthening the team’s ranks, considering that the departure of the former technical director Osorio was a solution to the problems that the team was suffering under his leadership.
Regarding the team’s victory over the traditional rival Al Ahly in the league with a score of (2-1), Labib expressed his happiness with this important victory, but he emphasized the need not to rest and continue thinking about the upcoming challenges.
In a related context, Labib praised the role of Mamdouh Abbas, the former president of Zamalek, confirming that he provides great assistance to the club, demanding not to disclose some matters related to that assistance, however, he stressed that Abbas was subjected to unjustified attacks and defamation of his reputation in an inappropriate manner.
At the end of his speech, the president of Zamalek expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mamdouh Abbas for his support and contribution to serving the club.
