Nagelsmann has confirmed that Ilkay Gundogan will remain captain
Ilkay Gundogan will remain the captain of the Germany national team.
After Manuel Neuer's injury, Ilkay Gundogan became the captain of the
Germanynational team, and Germany's coach announced that Gundogan would remain the captain even after Neuer's return.
"Ilkay will remain captain. It's important that we have continuity there."
Julian Nagelsmann told Bild.
Germany drew 2-2 with Mexico in a friendly match. They will play against Turkey in their next game.
Ilkay Gundogan has scored 18 goals for the German national team in 71 game.
