Eddie Howe confirms Harvey Barnes is set to be out for months with a foot injury suffered against Sheffield United.
“It's an injury to part of the foot just below the toe,"
he told the club's official website.
"I think it is quite a substantial injury. We’ve had it scanned, we’re waiting for a specialist opinion on what to do next, whether there’s surgery involved or not.”
defeated Sheffield United 8-0. They will play against Manchester City in the EFL Cup.
Harvey Barnes joined Newcastle from Leicester City in the summer. He scored 13 goals for Leicester City in 34 Premier League games last season.
