Marchena: "Ramos has had the desire to return to Sevilla for a long time"
Former teammate says Ramos wanted to return to Sevilla.
After the end of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, Sergio Ramos returned to his former team,
Sevilla, with a one-year contract.
Carlos Marchena, Ramos' former teammate, told Marca that he wanted to return to Sevilla for a long time.
“I know that Sergio has had the desire to return to Sevilla for a long time. We have shared a lot and we have always been united by our origin, where we grew up."
he said.
“I think that everything has never been well explained over his move to Real Madrid. The reasons why they were angry with each other was because there was a lack of an explanation. There was no good explanation.
“As a Sevillista, I’m very happy that Sergio has returned, for the greatness of Sevilla and Sergio himself. We are going to enjoy this a lot.”
Ramos played 58 games for Paris Saint-Germain over two seasons and scored six goals.
In their first season at Sevilla, he played 50 games for the team and scored three goals.
