Ivan Rakitic, the captain of Sevilla, told Mundo Deportivo after the game that they were more interested in winning the super cup than Man City.
“It is a shame. We wanted this trophy more than them, but we have to congratulate Manchester City. We must tell our fans that we will continue fighting to have another opportunity like this."
he said.

Sevilla lost 2-1 to Valencia in their first La Liga game this week at home. They will play against Alaves next week.
