Southgate: "We know we have the quality to win the games"

In Group Three of the Euro 2024 qualifiers,

defeated Malta 4-0. Apap scored an own goal, while Arnold, Kane, and Wilson scored England's goals.

England's head coach Gareth Southgate said after the game:

“Of course we know we have the quality to win the games, but it’s about your mentality then and I thought that was excellent right from the start,”

he said.

“We tried to balance looking at a few things with some experienced players that give you leadership on the pitch and set the tone. That’s how they’ve trained all week.

England, who have earned 9 points from their three games, are currently in first place in Group C. In their next match, they will play against North Macedonia.
