Mancini announces Italy squad for Euro 2024 qualifiers against England and Malta
Italy manager Roberto Mancini announced his 30-man squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against England and Malta.
has handed the first Italy call-ups to three players. Tigre striker Mateo Retegui, Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone, and Torino center back Alessandro Buongiorno all have been included in the 30-man squad.
's manager also has decided to invite Matteo Darmian and Alessio Romagnoli, who made their last Italy appearances back in 2018 and 2020 respectively. Darmian last played for Italy in November 2017.
Nicolo Zaniolo, Gianluca Mancini, Manuel Locatelli, and Mattia Zaccagni are the biggest names who have been left out of the squad. Alessandro Bastoni, Giacomo Raspadori, and Guglielmo Vicario are also absent due to injury.
