Graham Potter admits luck plays a huge part in his Chelsea revival

After a string of threatening losses, Chelsea achieved three consecutive victories over Leeds United, Borussia Dortmund, and Leicester City. After being drawn with Real Madrid in the Champions League, Graham Potter praises his side for their fight.

After winning only nine of their last 27 games, Chelsea celebrated three consecutive victories across all competitions as Graham Potter hopes the Blues continue their form ahead of their Premier League clash against Everton.

Potter told his press conference: "Y

ou need luck. As much as you can be good, it is important to be lucky.

"But you can't wait for that to come around and sometimes you have to fight through the storm.

"We've come out of it with three wins, but we need to carry that form on. Now there are three points up for grabs against a tough team."

Just a few days after outlining his desire to lead Chelsea to the Champions League success this season, the Blues were drawn with the title owners Real Madrid on Friday. However, Potter insists his focus is on the Everton fixture on Saturday.

"I've played against him when he was at Everton,"

he added on Ancelotti.

"He is a gentleman and there's nothing I can say in terms of the respect I have for what he's achieved in his career.

"I think the length of time he's had between Champions League wins – twenty years – is incredible.

"[But] where we are now is to focus on Everton. They play to their strengths and that is what we must focus on."
