A month later he returned to the same track for the first Grade 1 race of his career and again powered away from his rivals to win by 12 lengths.

Now it was time for the prodigious youngster to compete at the Cheltenham Festival for the first time, and it was in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle of that year that Constitution Hill really announced himself on the world stage by easily winning the Grade 1 contest by a whopping 22 lengths
