Real Madrid 3-1 Espanyol: Los Blancos make yet another comeback

Despite the early scare, Real AMdrid managed to pull three goals back to shorten the gap between them and Barcelona to six points

overturned a deficit to reduce the gap between themselves and Barcelona in the LaLiga standings to six points. They managed to do so by beating Espanyol 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior, Eder Militao, and Marco Asensio.

Prior to the Saturday's game, Real Madrid had not won any of their previous three matches. It seemed to be the case as it appeared that Madrid could fall further behind in the race for the title after Joselu scored an early goal for

Despite the early setback, Real Madrid managed to equalize soon after with an impressive solo effort from Vinicius Junior. They then took the lead before half-time when Eder Militao scored a header from the back post.

Asensio scored a late goal after escaping in behind the defense, securing a 3-1 win for Madrid and cutting Barcelona's lead in LaLiga to six points. Barcelona is set to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday, and the two rivals will have a highly anticipated matchup next week in the Clasico.
