Paul Pogba left out of Juventus squad for disciplinary reasons

Paul Pogba has been left out of Juventus‘ squad list for the match against Freiburg for disciplinary reasons.

Paul Pogba,

who suffered a knee injury in the summer and missed more than five months of the season, was set to make his first start in his second spell at Juventus in the Europa League clash with Freiburg in Turin on Thursday.

Reports in Italy suggest that Pogba has been dropped by Massimiliano Allegri for disciplinary reasons. Fabrizio Romano claims that Pogba was late to a team meeting on Wednesday and that's why Allegri has decided to leave him out of the squad.

The 29-year-old Pogba joined Juventus on a free transfer last summer and signed a four-year contract. He suffered multiple injuries and made his second debut on February 28 in a 4-2 derby win against Torino. He also came onto the pitch in the second half of last Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Roma.

Mattia De Sciglio, Kaio Jorge, and Arek Milik are missing tonight’s match because of injuries.

Juventus

will face Freiburg in the first leg of the Europa League last 16 round. Juventus finished third in their Champions League group behind Benfica and Paris Saint-Germain and dropped into the Europa League. They eliminated Nantes to reach the last 16 round.

Allegri’s side is in seventh place in Serie A and has reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.
