Roma 1-0 Juventus: Mancini’s wondergoal gives Roma the victory
Sitting fifth in the Serie A table, Roma will host a Juventus side that sits two places below them after a hefty 15-point deduction in January.
The game was extra important for the two sides with both teams pushing for a Champions League qualification spot. Neither of the sides could make a chance in the first half with most of the possession spent in the midfield. The best chance of the first half was a header from Rabiot, which was saved by Patricio.
Although Juventus started the second half sharper, it was Roma who scored the opener through Gianluca Mancini, who scored from a stunning long shot. Juventus failed to break through Roma's defense line with Di Maria and Chiesa missing chances.
The most interesting fact of the match was perhaps Moise Kean's sent-off in the 90th minute. Just seconds after coming in as a substitute, he was shown a straight red card after kicking Mancini in the head.
With this victory, Roma sits fourth in the Serie A table with 47 points, while Juventus is chasing them with 12 points from eighth position.
