Rival's managers' post-match wine tradition’s death revealed by Arteta

Arteta claims that the post-match glass of wine old traditional between rival managers is dying as it once was viewed as a way to bonding Premier League bosses. Arsene Wenger wasn't a fan of indulgence as he was criticized by Alex Ferguson for not joining him for a drink after games.

Mikel Arteta believes the ancient routine ended with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. He told his press conference: "

I haven't had the opportunity because after I joined in two or three months we had COVID.

"Probably COVID was the catalyst of losing that tradition, which is a shame because I think it was something special and generated a certain bond between managers."

With Arsenal facing Sean Dyche's Everton on Wednesday, Arteta believes the tradition is something worth reviving. He added:

"Maybe we can talk about it between us and get it back."

The Premier League leaders, Arsenal, play Sporting CP away on March 9th, Fulham away on March 12th, Sporting CP at home on March 16th, and Crystal Palace at home on March 19th.
