Roma’s Tammy Abraham among striker options for Manchester United

Manchester United is interested in signing former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham in the summer.

According to Caught Offside and the Manchester Evening News,

Manchester United

is considering signing

Tammy Abraham

in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United signed Wout Weghorst on loan in January, but he has struggled since arriving at Old Trafford and the club still wants to sign a striker in the summer, with the Napoli star Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane being their top targets.

Erik Ten Hag’s side also is monitoring other options including RB Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko and Abraham is the newest name that has been linked to them.

The English striker left Chelsea and joined

Roma

in the summer of 2021 in a deal worth €40m. He managed to score 17 goals in Serie A and won the Europa Conference League in his debut season.

The 25-year-old Abraham has scored just seven goals in 29 matches this season in all competitions and was not selected for England’s 2022 World Cup squad.

Chelsea reportedly has a buy-back clause worth €80m, but it is unlikely they resign their former striker. Abraham scored 26 goals in 89 Premier League games for Chelsea and Swansea City. He managed to score 30 goals in 82 games in all competitions for Chelsea.
