Jese Rodriguez can't wait to make his Sampdoria debut

Revealing his faith in coach Dejan Stankovic, the Spaniard reveals his passion to play for Serie A fans.

told Sampdoria's official channel:

“I am very happy to be here at Sampdoria.

“When the opportunity presented itself to come here, I did not have any doubts. I watch a lot of games and saw some with Sampdoria too, I received a warm welcome from everyone.

“My objective is to give my best to help the team. I want to give my contribution so we can earn points and improve. I see the team is competitive, we were unlucky in some games, but this is football. We’ve got to keep taking it one game at a time, always having faith in ourselves and a positive mentality.”

Jese went on to talk about Stankovic:

“I spoke to the coach, he told me what I need to do on the field, he knows which roles I can play. I told him that I have faith in him and in my teammates, so I believe that by working hard every day, we can turn this situation around and ensure Sampdoria stay in Serie A and make these fantastic fans happy.”

Accompanying his club from the stands during their Monday 0-0 draw against Inter, the 29-year-old added:

“It was a wonderful experience last night, the first Serie A game I attended. Sampdoria have wonderful fans. I am sure that if we play the way we did the last few games, and with the support of the fans, we can only get stronger.”
