Man City getting ahead of Liverpool in the Jude Bellingham race

An integral part of Gareth Southgate's side that reached the quarter-finals of Qatar 2022, Liverpool has long been linked with a move for Jude Bellingham with Jurgen Klopp being mentioned as a big admirer.

Being regarded as one of the best young players in the world, Real Madrid and Liverpool have been touted as main rivals for the signature of

Jude Bellingham

. However, according to

Marca

, Liverpool is losing ground to

Manchester City

as the Citizens are willing to put €170m on the table for

Borussia Dortmund

's midfielder.

However, according to the outlet, although there are no formal offers for Bellingham yet, Real Madrid is unlikely to compete with Man City in finances.

The 19-year-old star is having a great season with Dortmund and has scored 8 goals in 17 games for his team. While Jude Bellingham is expected to feature in Gareth Southgate's final World Cup squad, he has been linked with Real Madrid and top Premier League clubs in recent months.

Despite the bitter end to their tournament, Bellingham is proud of England as his performances helped him secure a spot in the 14-man shortlist for 2022's Best FIFA Men's Player award.
