De Paul hails "born to suffer" Argentina after the World Cup triumph
Despite scoring two goals in the first half, France completed a comeback in the second half to send the game to extra time, where Mbappe once again answered Lionel Messi's goal to send the game to the penalty shoot-out.
Heading the penalty shoot-out with a 3-3 result after 120 minutes,
Argentina
won 4-2 in the penalties as they won the trophy for the third time in their history.
Rodrigo de Paulsaid after the final whistle:
"We were born to suffer, we are going to suffer all our lives, but I will never forget this.

His teammate,
Enzo Fernandez
added:
"Being here, having the possibility of winning a World Cup with my country is priceless.
"My whole family is here, I'm going to carry it forever in my heart."
