Ousmane Dembele: "France's class in 2018 is not comparable to now"

The reigning World Cup champions will try to defend the title against Argentina on Sunday after beating Morocco in the semi-finals. France's forward believes they have a better squad compared to the one they had in the 2018 World Cup.

Despite having a lot of key players, including Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante and Paul Pogba injured,

Ousmane Dembele

 believes that

France

's squad now is a lot calmer than the 2018 World Cup-winning squad, in which they beat Croatia 4-2 in the finals.

"

It's not a dream yet. We're calmer and have more experience. We want to prepare well for this final,"

he said at a press conference on Friday.

"It will be a great day. We are ready for this fight against a difficult opponent. Argentina are better than they were in 2018.

"In 2018 there were more crazy people in this team. There is a very nice atmosphere in 2022 too, but it is not comparable."

Asked about

Karim Benzema

's availability for Sunday, Dembele said:

"I don't know. I'm not the coach.

"I think Benzema got injured and I don't have an explanation."
