Modric believes Croatia has a chance against "always favorites" Brazil

The 2018 World Cup runners-up had a tough time in the round of 16 against Japan when they were held to a 1-1 draw. However, eventually, they beat the Asian side in the penalty shoot-out 3-1. Ahead of their quarter-finals tie against Brazil,

urges his side to “be at their best” to win the World Cup favorites.

“We’ve done a great deal to reach the quarterfinals. We’ll play perhaps the biggest game of the Cup so far. They’re always favourites. For what they’ve done so far, they’re favourites. We have to play our best game and we’ll have a chance. We have our own strength. We have faith ourselves.

“I believe that the game at the front will be the most difficult. I can’t compare it with the final. Brazil is a big challenge. We lost 4-2 to France. I wish there was a game like this [contra o Brasil] shortly after. But that’s life.
