Inter president, Zhang: Sunning not looking to sell club

Inter President, Steven Zhang, says Suning company has no plan to sell the club shortly amid doubts regarding their future as Inter owners.

The club’s shareholders meeting took place at the club’s headquarters on Friday. It was announced that Inter’s revenues have increased by €75m during the financial year ending on June 2022, earning €439.6m compared to €364m in 2020-21.

During his speech, Inter President, Steven Zhang, insists Suning’s commitment to the club is long-term. Inter reached the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday after a victory against Victoria Plzen.

“During this difficult period of time, so many things have changed, but our love and passion for Inter have remained steadfast,”

Inter President Steven Zhang said.

“The last three years have been tough, but we have got through them together with determination and ambition, as seen by our haul of three trophies after an 11-year wait.

“We were brave enough to tackle the pandemic with dynamism and the ability to win and stay at the top.

“The reality is that the club’s future has never been in question and our vision for Inter is crystal clear. Our long-term commitment is to guarantee a future that is in line with the club’s illustrious history.

“It is necessary to continue down this path, carried forward by sporting ambition, thanks to the passion emanating from our fans the world over.

“They are the reason the club is fighting for a second star and for victory on every pitch, while being committed to ensuring the project champions sustainable growth in this sector at an institutional level.”
