Neville insist City are favorite to win the Premier League

Former Manchester United's captain still believes that City has the upper hand to win the league.

Gary Neville believes that Manchester City have the best chance of winning the Premier League title this season.

In their recent meeting, City suffered their first defeat of the season and lost 3 points against Liverpool at Anfield with a score of 1-0. While Erling Holland's goal in the first half was rejected by VAR, in the second half, Mohamed Salah was able to score the winning goal for Liverpool in the 76th minute. This was the third win of the season for the Reds, and City is in third place behind Tottenham and Arsenal. However, Gary Neville believes they have the best chance of winning the title.

He said:

"I still think they will [run away with it], I still think they will and today won’t change it, this was a freak game playing at Anfield. For City, it’s the most difficult game they have, I do think City will run away with it, Arsenal will come back towards Tottenham, Chelsea, United, Newcastle, I do think City will go away. This season will be a different season as well, post-World Cup could be completely different to what it is."

Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards added:

"Arsenal have been brilliant, you always expect them to drop off but this season, they’re different. The energy, over the course of the season if they get injuries. The difference between City and Arsenal is City get a few injuries they play the same way. If they lose Jesus, Zinchenko - to a degree - Thomas Partey, all of a sudden they become a different team. As they are now they’re on a good run."
