Hugo Ekitike: Mbappe is happy at Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike says Kylian Mbappe is happy at the Parc des Princes despite reports that he wants to leave the club.
after months of speculation at end of last season decided to sign a new three-year deal with PSG but the French press on Tuesday reported that he feels betrayed by the club and wants to leave as soon as possible. These reports claimed that Mbappe is not happy with his role in the team.
Mbappe scored for
PSGduring a 1-1 draw against Benfica on Tuesday and PSG sporting advisor Luis Campos before the game denied these reports and claimed that Mbappe has not talked with the club about leaving.
PSG striker Ekitike who made his Champions League debut against Benfica after the game said:
"I often talk with Kylian [Mbappe], I know that he is happy to be at the club."
"The Champions League is something magical. Last year I watched it on television so participating in it and having those first minutes is something beautiful."
Ekitike who joined PSG from Reims during the summer said he is excited about playing with Mbappe.
"I think it [getting to play with Mbappe] would be not bad at all,"
he said.
"I came here as a project over several years where I have to progress. I think I'm in the perfect club for that."
PSG is at top of the Group H with eight points after four games. Benfica also has eight points. PSG face Maccabi Haifa and Juventus in their last two group matches.
