Milan keeping tabs on Fiorentina’s Terracciano as Maignan replacement

Following Mike Maignan’s injury, which caused concerns regarding his understudies, the Rossoneri have been linked with a swoop deal for Fiorentina shot-stopper Pietro Terracciano.

Mike Maignan

limped off early doors as his side was facing

Austria

in the Nations League last week. Then, he was diagnosed with a calf injury that will have him sidelined for at least one month. Since

Milan

’s squad for the Champions League is limited because of a lack of homegrown and Italian players, they were forced to delete Ciprian Tatarusanu off the list. He is said to be considered for a replacement for Maignan for the remainder of the group stage.

The only other shot-stoppers that the Rossoneri have available are Tatarusanu and Antonio, whose deals are reaching their ends with the age of 37 and 39, respectively.

As per reports from Calciomercato.com and MilanNews.it, this shows that the club is considering bringing in an alternative who is younger than Maignan and therefore, they are eyeing

.

The goalkeeper’s deal is due to expire at the end of the season and he is competing with Pierluigi Gollini for the gloves. Should they fail to get his signature in January for a cut-price contract, Terracciano might make a move to San Siro as a free agent the following summer.
