Kahn: 'Nagelsmann has Bayern's complete support despite poor results'
Bayern Munich was defeated 1-0 at the hands of Augsburg to their Bundesliga victory-drought to four games. However, Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn fully supports their manager Nagelsmann as they had a perfect Champions League start.
Bayern's coach
Julian Nagelsmannis currently under a lot of criticism after a disappointing run of results over their last Bundesliga games.
Despite comfortable 2-0 Champions League victories over Inter and Barcelona,
Bayern Munichdropped points in three consecutive matches after winning their first four Bundesliga games as they settled on a draw against Monchengladbach, Union Berlin, and Stuttgart.
The pressure on the German coach got increased after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Augsburg on Saturday. However, speaking to
Sport1, Bayern Munich CEO
Oliver Kahn
made it clear that Nagelsmann has the club board's complete support. He said:
"We are totally convinced of Julian.
"The coach gives the players enough solutions. I think that's quite normal: it's the team, the team is on the pitch. It's also about turning the chances we create into goals.
"I think that's the most important thing. That the team deals with the fact that we get so little return for making these opportunities.”
asserted that the responsibility falls upon the players while he encourages the Bayern fans to be patient.
"
Maybe after the start, everything went so smoothly and easily, somewhere the belief took root that you could do the Bundesliga on the side,”
Kahn said.
"You have seen how strong the teams are against and at some point, we have to accept that.
"Thank God we are still at the very beginning of the season. We always have the strength to get back to the front, where we belong, to the top of the table."
