Ancelotti vows to rip his license apart if Valverde stop scoring goals

Scoring only one goal through 42 appearances last season, the Uruguayan midfielder has started the new season in decent form, already scoring three goals and providing two further assists in 7 appearances so far this season, with his Italian coach urging him to even add more.

revealed that he has vowed to rip his coaching licence if the

Uruguayan

doesen't score more than 10 goals this season as he saw Valverde scoring once again in his side's 2-0 victory over

RB Leipzig

The Italian coach told his post-match interview:

"What seemed strange to me was that he just scored once last season. I told him that if he was not able to score more than 10 goals, I’d have to rip up my coach’s license. He has a rock in his foot.”

Real Madrid

will be back in action this Sunday when they visit their arch-rivals,

Atletico Madrid,

in a crucial Madrid derby.
