Premier League seeks VAR explanation after scandalous disallowed goals
VAR intervention ruled out suspicious West Ham's goal against Chelsea and a Newcastle goal against Crystal Palace this weekend. The VAR decision drew lots of controversies with David Moyes and Eddie Howe seeking an explanation for the costly decisions.
Both of the
Premier Leaguereferees, Andy Madley and Michael Salisbury, were told by the VAR official to review their decisions to award the goals, leading to both being disallowed.
Now confirmed by the
English Football Association, Premier League will ask Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) to explain its rationale for directing the on-field referee to overturn those goals.

It's been reported that the issue is being treated as a priority matter by the Premier League with the VAR system continuing controversies since its arrival in Premier League in the 2019-20 season.
