Valencia close to sign Bryan Gil on a permanent deal
The Spanish star is close to returning to Valencia.
A new round of negotiations between the two clubs has begun so that Gil can return to Mestalla as soon as possible. Los Che started the new season under the guidance of Gennaro Gattuso and was able to beat Girona 1-0 in the first match, but lost 1-0 in the second match against Athletic Club in San Mames.
Gattuso spoke of the team's need to recruit players with a high level of hunger and competitive talent, and Gil fits that description. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Valencia, making 17 appearances under Jose Bordalas and registering one assist.
The Spanish midfielder is 21 years old and is at a point in his football career where he needs the opportunity to play more than anything. He joined Tottenham last summer from Sevilla but failed to win the trust of Antonio Conte.
