Arnautovic doesn't mind Man United's interest as he focuses on Bologna
After returning to Europe from the Chinese Super League last season, the Austrian scored 15 goals in 34 appearances, attracting the attention of Eric ten Hag's side. Bologna has firmly rejected an €8m bid from United as the backlash seemingly warns United off a deal.
Speaking ahead of the new Serie A season, the former
Stoke Cityforward insists all of his focus is on Bologna’s campaign amid interest from
Manchester United. Arnautovic told a press conference:
"The transfer market is the transfer market.
"I have been in this world for many years, and I know that during the transfer market, there can always be interest from another team, but I'm focused on Bologna."
Ajax player Antony was Ten Hag's first choice to strengthen the Red Devils' attack but
Ajaxput a €100m price tag on him which United is not willing to pay it.
The sporting director of
Bologna, Marco Di Vaio, tried to stop United from signing
Marko Arnautovicby saying that the forward is "priceless". He said earlier:
“Manchester United on Arnautovic? We’re proud of the interest in Marko but we are not planning to sell him.
“We want to keep him at Bologna as the president said, he’s a key part of our project - there’s not even a price tag.”
The 33-year-old Arnautovic who joined Bologna last summer scored 15 goals in 34 appearances. He used to play in the Premier League with Stoke City and
West Ham.
