Ancelotti praised Hazard, called him a 'great player'

Los Blancos were held to a 2-2 draw against Mexican rivals last night in San Francisco.

Real Madrid

head coach Carlo Ancelotti praised

Eden Hazard

after the 2-2 draw against Club America and considered him a great player.

Hazard, who joined Real Madrid from

Chelsea

in 2019, was unable to make the expected impact due to consecutive injuries and played only 66 games for his team and scored 6 goals in three seasons. The 31-year-old Belgian star, who has regained his fitness, has promised to show his best performance for Los Blancos this season. He managed to score from the penalty spot against the Mexican rival, and Ancelotti expressed his hope that he will see good performances from him in the upcoming season.

He said:

"We need these games to try to give Hazard minutes because Hazard is a great player that we need.

"So I use these games to give him minutes. He improved his game compared to the first game."

Benzema had an exceptional performance last season by scoring 44 goals and played the most important role in his team winning the Champions League and La Liga. He is expected to win the Ballon d'Or at the end of the year and has been given an extended break due to the World Cup.

"Benzema is in good shape, even if he hasn't done a lot of training sessions,"

Ancelotti added.

"It's clear that he still needs to improve his physical form. But we are on schedule, working a lot.

"After the game against Juventus we will reduce the pressure a bit to be in good shape for the Super Cup."
