Official: Dembele extends his contract with Barcelona

The French star finally decided to continue his adventure in Barcelona.

Barcelona

have confirmed that they have agreed a two-year contract extension with

Ousmane Dembele

.

Dembele joined Barcelona on a 5-year contract from Dortmund in 2017, and his contract expired in June this year. Rumors indicated that he was planning to leave Barca and had also rejected offers to extend his previous contract. This is while the club announced in January that Dembele will either be sold or leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season after failing to renew the contract.

However, the Catalans were able to reach an agreement with the French star to extend his contract for another two years until the end of the 2023-24 season.

Dembele has played 150 games for Barcelona and registered 13 assists in La Liga last season and was the best player in the league. In addition to Dembele, Barca was able to reach an agreement with Leeds United yesterday for the transfer of Raphinha, and he arrived in Spain on Wednesday to undergo medical tests.
