Mehmet Zeki Celik expected to join AS Roma
Reports say that Roma and LOSC have made a deal for Roma to buy LOSC right back Zeki Celik for €7 million plus a share of the sell-on fee.
According to the newspaper Il Tempo, Sky Sport Italia, and the radio station Teleradiostereo, another meeting today was the key to finalizing the deal's main points.
The
Giallorossi
have to pay €7 million in cash and give
Lille15% of any sell-on fee in the future. After his medical tests on Monday,
Mehmet Zeki Celikis ready to sign the four-year deal.
The Turkey international, who is 25 years old, has played 32 times for his country and scored two goals. He was also linked to
Fiorentina, and his contract with LOSC runs out in June 2023, so a sale had to be made this summer.
Celik has spent his whole career in
Turkey
. He has scored three goals and set up three others in 40 games this season. He should fly in by the end of next week for his medical, and Ebrima Darboe will go to Lille on loan as part of the deal. Paulo Fonseca, who used to run Roma, will be LOSC's new coach.
