Hrustic’s late winner puts Australia closer to World Cup in Qatar

Australia will lock horns with Peru on Monday and if they win, they can seal a place in the World Cup 2022.

’s late goal secured a 2-1 win for

Australia

against the United Arab Emirates and they are only one victory away from the

World Cup

in Qatar.

The Socceroos were not able to muster a shot on target at the beginning of the game.

However, following the break, Jackson Irvine scored the opener for them only for the opposition side to level the game a few minutes later through Caio Canedo.

A late goal from Hrustic, however, put Australia back in the lead and sealed a victory. They will go against Peru on Monday and a victory will secure a place for them in Qatar.
