Roma wants to extend Abraham's contract

The English star is happy to be in the Italian capital and play for Mourinho.

Roma

intend to offer a contract extension to Tammy Abraham, after the striker stellar performance in the current season.

Abraham joined Roma from

Chelsea

in the summer for € 40 million, scoring 23 goals and winning the Europa Conference League at the end of the season. Several Premier League clubs want to sign Abraham, but he is in no hurry to leave Rome.

Arsenal

, Newcastle and Aston Villa are among the clubs monitoring his situation and have contacted Roma to inquire about his transfer, but the club have told them that Abraham is happy to work under Jose Mourinho. Mourinho also hopes that after Abraham's golden season in Rome, the club will reward his good performance by extending his contract.

Chelsea could bring Abraham back to London in the summer of 2023 by activating the clause, but they will have to pay twice as much as Roma paid him, € 80 million. The 24-year-old striker must also agree to return to Stamford Bridge, which he does not appear to be considering at the moment.
