James Rodriguez: Let’s see who wants my left foot again in Europe

James Rodriguez is keen to play in Europe again.

In remarks published by Fabrizio Romano, the Colombian player said there's a big probability he'll be on the move this summer and chevalier out of the Middle East.

“The transfer market will open soon, we’ll see,” the former Real Madrid star said. “Returning to elite football is a serious possibility. Let’s see who wants my left foot again.”

James is presently playing in Qatar at the age of 30. After spending a season with Carlo Ancelotti at Everton, he joined

Al-Rayyan

in the summer of 2021. Rafa Benitez, Ancelotti's replacement, made it plain that he may leave Goodison Park.

James has five goals and seven assists in 15 appearances for Qatar, but he appears to be ready to return to the green continent.

During his tenure in Madrid, he played 135 matches for the club, scoring 37 goals and providing 42 assists. He has also played for Porto, Bayern Munich, and Monaco in Europe.

Given his experience with both

Los Blancos

and Everton, James' prediction that

Liverpool

would defeat Madrid in the

Champions League

final on May 28th in Paris is surprising.

“Liverpool are going through a very good moment and they have Luchito Diaz there,” James said as carried by

Cadena SER

. “I want Lucho to become champion.”

“But Madrid are very tough in this type of game. We saw that in the quarter-final and the semi-final. They have a lot of history and it’s going to be tough. I have former teammates at Real Madrid, I love the club very much. They have a long history in this type of game but Liverpool can put in a great performance.

“I want Lucho to be champion.”
