Moyes calls West Ham win a special night

The English coach was able to bring his team to the top 8 teams in the Europa League.

West Ham

boss David Moyes described the win over

Sevilla

and the Europa League quarter-finals as one of the most special nights of his life.

Sevilla won 1-0 in Spain and went to London last night to defend their victory. However, Sevilla equalized with a goal from

Tomas Soucek

to extend the game into extra time, and Andriy Yarmolenko scored in the 112th minute to give West Ham victory and the Hammers to reach the top eight in the Europa League. After the game, Moyes praised his team's performance and called it one of the most special nights of his life.

"This will be as high as we have had. We have had other nights, avoiding relegation was an incredible high but thankfully we have moved on from that.

"Beating a serial winner of this competition made it a bit more special. They just keep going. You could see the resilience in them. We keep on going.

"Nights like this really help you build. I thought Sevilla were probably favourites for the tournament. For us to beat them over two legs is an incredible result."
