Wolves’ boss insists on protecting Traore
Spurs are looking to sign Adama Traore and Wolves want £25m for the player.
After
Tottenham
failed to sign
Adama Traore
in the summer transfer window, they have shown interest in the player once again, and
Wolves
has demanded £25m for the player who has 18 months left on his contract.
The clubs are in advanced talks according to the reports, and the personal terms don’t seem to be a problem meanwhile, Wolves’ manager
Bruno Lage
has talked about the matter, insisting that he will protect his player despite the possibility of his departure.
"We have a top player with us, a lovely guy,"
said Wolves head coach Bruno Lage
.
"I remember how much Tottenham protected Harry Kane at the beginning of the season. And we will protect our player because we believe a lot in Adama.
"That is business. It's not my concern. But I will protect my players. The way they work, the value for me is very high.
"I don't see any difference in his behavior, his mentality, the way he works. So I'm happy with him. He continues to be the same player.
"He just has one more year left. The club talk with him and he talks with them and they will decide the future. I'm happy with him, it's the only thing I can say. He's focused, he's ready."
