Inter keen on Lazio's loanee Fares as a replacement for Kolarov

Mohamed Fares, a French-Algerian winger presently on loan at Genoa from Lazio, has been linked with a high-profile move to Inter, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Fares, who is naturally a wingback, also plays more forward on the flanks, a role that Inter star Aleksander Kolarov excels at. However, when his agreement ends at the end of the season, the Serbian will depart the club, likely to Cagliari in Sardinia, where he will get more playing time.

Fares is being considered as a suitable successor for Kolarov by Inter.

Piero Ausilio

, the club's sporting manager, is claimed to have been a long-time supporter of the 25-year-old left-footer and attempted to recruit him in 2019, but instead recruited Cristian Biraghi from Fiorentina.

After joining the Biancocelesti in 2020, he is presently on loan from Lazio, where he was declared a surplus necessity. His transfer to Genoa, on the other hand, has not been productive due to muscular ailments.

Serie A

sides such as Juventus, Sassuolo, and Napoli are all interested in signing the Frenchman.
