Egypt will fight to win against Tunisia - El-Sulya

The Egypt captain insisted that they aim to vanquish Tunisia and get to the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup’s final.

Egypt

got off on the right foot when they started their FIFA Arab Cup journey as they beat Lebanon and Sudan before their clash with Algeria to lead Group D with seven points.

They have then made their way through the quarter-finals where they vanquished Jordan, which was a hard game as both sides tried hard to win and the Egyptians were able to win 3-1 after the extra-time.

Following their victory over Jordan, Egypt will get prepared to go against

Tunisia

in the semi-finals, after The Eagles of Carthage reserved their spot in the semi-finals following a victory over Oman in the quarter-finals.

The two African teams will lock horns on Wednesday, December 15 at 5:00 PM Cairo local time.

After the game,

Amr El-Sulya

said that the squad knows how hard the encounter will be but they are determined to win.

We are happy to be in the semi-finals of this tournament, and I believe we worked hard to reach this stage, and the match tomorrow will be difficult for both teams,”

El-Sulya said in the pre-match press conference.

“A large number of players in the Tunisian national team play in the Egyptian Premier League. We hope that the match will be strong and enjoyable, and whoever performs better will reach the final. Everyone will fight and be fully focused during the game.

“We have 90 minutes to reach the final. We will fight to win and be present in the final to compete for the trophy.

“History is useless in football, it’s in the past. Every match has its own circumstances and the probabilities of winning or losing are the same.

“We will play to win and give our best on the pitch. No one will care about their team’s history. The players on the field will decided their team’s fate and whoever performs better will win.

“We will try to make the match easier for ourselves and enter the match with more focus than the previous match against Jordan in order to win,”

he concluded.
