Inter legend Lothar Matthäus believes Simone Inzaghi is doing well at Inter, although Antonio Conte had more experience and a different personality.
Matthäus wore exactly the same number that
Lautaro Martinez
currently wears. Someone who recently renewed his contract with the Nerazzurri.
“
The No.10 is on good shoulders,
” said Matthäus.
“Lautaro can play for many years in Milan, always at a high level. He plays in a different position from mine, but the number is a sort of connection between us.
“He was an excellent player with Lukaku, but I see no issues also with a different striking partner.”
Nicolò Barella will probably extend his contract until 2026.

I love Barella, he is the perfect box-to-box player,”
the Inter legend said.
“His quality and his mentality have no equal in football, I am happy he is at Inter, but he could play in every top club in Europe.”
Inter
are in third place in Serie A and are looking to maintain Antonio Conte's achievement.
“Conte was like Trappattoni, he created a special bond and wrote a great story.
“Inzaghi has done a good job so far, but Conte had more experience and a different personality.
“I put Inter among the favourites for the title and they can do well also in Europe.”
Lothar Matheus
spent four years at Inter, scoring 53 goals in 153 games. His achievement at the club was one Serie A title, one UEFA Cup and one Italian Super Cup.
