Dortmund progress with hazard’s brace

Thorgan Hazard who came off the bench took his team to the next stage in DFB-Pokal.

Borussia Dortmund

defeated FC Ingolstadt 2-0 in DFB-Pokal to reach the round of 16 in a night that

Thorgan Hazard

, who came in as a substitute, scored both goals for Marco Rose’s side and filled Erling Haaland’s place whose absence was pretty hard for the reigning champions of DFB-Pokal.

Rose’s men didn’t show the quality that was expected from them as the Bundesliga 2 side did their best to stop their opposition, and they seemed to be successful at first as their goalkeeper was only challenged once in the first 27 minutes of the game.

Dortmund seemed frustrated as they kept facing locked doors every time they tried to open the scoring against a side that had nothing to lose against the Bundesliga giants, although they were without their Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland.

The Belgium international Thorgan Hazard changed everything after his substation scoring two goals for his side and taking his side to the next stage.

Hazard’s first goal was set up by the impressive work of Julian Brandt, but it wasn’t enough for the Belgian as he doubled the lead in the 81st minute to secure a victory for his side in the absence of their scoring machine.
