Arteta responds to Henry's recent criticism

The Spanish coach has been able to achieve good results in recent weeks and forget about the fall at the beginning of the season.

Arsenal

boss Mikel Arteta has dismissed Thierry Henry's recent criticism of his performance on the team.

Arsenal have scored 10 points in their last four Premier League games, but Thierry Henry has claimed that the situation under the Spanish manager is not good. After losing the first three games of the season, Arteta came under intense criticism and his team was at the bottom of the table, but recent victories have lifted them to 11th place. Now the Spanish coach has responded to Thierry Henry's criticism.

Asked whether he had read Henry's comments, Arteta who was named as the September's manager of the month said: :

"I haven't. I am just hearing them from you."

When the reporter quoted Henry's criticism, Arteta said:

"It's just another opinion. You have to respect that."

Arsenal will face Crystal Palace in the next match, and former Gunners captain Patrick Viera, who won the Premier League with the team, will return to his former club's stadium and Arteta expects a warm welcome from the fans.

The Spanish manager said:

"He's an Arsenal legend and I hope he gets the reception he deserves for what he did as a player and a person," Arteta said.

"He was the captain of the club in the most successful era and it's great to have him back."
