No pressure after replacing Lukaku - Dzeko

Inter Milan have high hopes for Dzeko to shine this season.

Inter Milan

striker Edin Dzeko has claimed that he does not feel any pressure to replace Romelu Lukaku.

The Bosnian star left for Milan in the summer after six seasons in Roma and 260 appearances for the team, and was added to Simone Inzaghi's squad. He replaces Romelu Lukaku, who performed well at Inter and won the Serie A title with the team. Now, before the crucial match against Real Madrid, he claimed that he does not feel any pressure on Lukaku's replacement.

He said:

“He has given a lot to Inter in the last two years. He won the Scudetto and has done many things. But I don’t feel the pressure, I only think about Inter and helping the team.

“I can’t wait to play in the Champions League again. We are ready and we can’t wait.”

Asked about hist ime at Roma, he said:

“Rome is a very difficult place. [Luciano] Spalletti is one of the best coaches I have had. On the first day, at the end of the training, he took me to see my games with City, telling me which movements I had to improve.

“We worked a lot with the movements, with the shots. This helped me become the top scorer.”
