Lyon the most probable destination for Shaqiri
Liverpool’s Xherdan Shaqiri is reportedly close to Olympique Lyonnais.

Jurgen Klopp’s
lineup and had raised the speculations and suggestions about his future at the club, is close to the Ligue 1 side
Olympique Lyonnais, despite being linked with clubs like Roma and Napoli.
Some reports suggest that he wasn’t with the Reds in their friendly match against Osasuna because the negotiations between the two parties about his possible transfer to Lyon were taking place at the time.
The Reds have decided on a €15m price tag for the Switzerland international, which can be a high price for a player, who has been struggling for playing time and will be 30 in October, and this has forced the Serie A sides, Napoli and Roma, to reconsider their interest in signing the player; which has allowed the Ligue 1 side to step forward and start the negotiations over the experienced midfielder.
The 30-year-old midfielder who joined the Reds in 2018 with a €15m Stock City has already experienced a spell in Italy’s domestic league playing for Inter in 2015, but a return to Serie A was not completed as Olympique Lyonnais won the race for signing the player.
