USMNT confirms Arriola’s hamstring injury after Gold Cup opener

Within the first 15 minutes of the USA’s Gold Cup opener against Haiti, D.C. United winger fell down after taking a shot as USMNT trainers were required to come to take a look at the injured attacker.

Being replaced by Nicolas Gioacchini,

U.S. Men’s National Team has now officially confirmed

that the winger has hit with another leg problem after suffering two in the last year and a half.

After nearly missing all of the D.C. United’s 2020 season due to a torn ACL, the 26-year-old midfielder was loaned out to the English Championship side, Swansea, in January. However, Arriola saw that loan cut short after suffering an injury to his quadriceps.

Gregg Berhalter’s USMNT side

will be back in action on Friday

when they face Martinique

in their second group match of the Gold Cup.
