Sarabia and Laporte might miss Spain’s Euro 2020 clash with Italy

Becoming the first team to book their place in the semi-finals by a 3-1 penalty shoot-out victory over Switzerland, Spain will face Italy in a Euro 2020 semi-final clash on Tuesday at Wembley Stadium.

Having to play a 120-minute marathon against Swiss men in the quarter-finals of the competition, the Spaniards were forced into extra time and even a penalty shoot-out before

getting past a 10-man Switzerland onto the semi-finals.

Pablo Sarabia

, who went off at half-time due to injury, has been diagnosed with a micro-lesion to the adductor, which will make him probably unavailable for picking for Luis Enrique’s men’s clash against Italy, according to

Spain’s official Twitter

The 29-year-old PSG winger contributed two goals and two assists at EURO 2020, which were essential in Spain’s road to the semi-finals of the competition.

However, returning to training at the Ciudad de Futbol on Saturday, the only other player that missed Spain’s training session was Manchester City’s

Aymeric Laporte

.

The 27-year-old centre-back has reportedly been sidelined due to fatigue, as he is the only player to have played every single minute of Spain’s EURO 2020.
