Barcelona to make an official bid for Denmark's Damsgaard
According to the reports, the Blaugrana are ready to step up their interest in Sampdoria’s midfielder. Impressing since he arrived from FC Norsdjaelland last summer, Mikkel Damsgaard has emerged on the transfer wish list of several clubs.
As a part of
Denmark’s Euro 2020 squad, the 21-year-old has continued his impressive domestic form onto the international stage, especially by contributing vital goals and assists for Denmark in their push to reach
the last four of the competition.
According to
Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are keen to solidify their interest in the coming weeks to ward off any potential rivals for him. Sampdoria reportedly demands a fee in the region of €35m for their Danish winger, but the price could rise as
Liverpool, Juventus, and Tottenham in the race for the winger’s signature.
Damsgaard
joined
Sampdoria from Nordsjaelland
for a €6 million fee this summer. Contributing two goals and four Serie A assists in his 22 Sampdoria matches, the Danish youngster was quick to establish himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
