Liverpool reject Basel’s bid for Liam Millar
The Canada international has been linked with a move away from Anfield in recent weeks.
is expected to leave Liverpool this summer as he wants to join a club that would provide him with more game time. The 21-year-old, who spent the last season on loan at League One side
Charlton, has attracted interest from several clubs ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to
Goal.com, the Reds have rejected a formal offer from Basel for Millar on Friday. However, the club are expecting another bid to be made next week. The Reds are looking for a fee of around £1 million for the winger.
Millar is among
Canada’s new generation of young talents which includes Bayern Munich’s
Alphonso Daviesand Lille’s
Jonathan David. The young forward has made only one senior appearance for Liverpool during his stay at the club. However, the Canadian’s performances during his loan spells at Kilmarnock and Charlton have attracted interest from several clubs.

are also interested in signing Millar in the summer, but they are yet to make a formal offer for the player.
